Local AI with voice, a path to Pinar Cloud, and a clearer capture destination

Pinar Local runs AI through your own OpenAI-compatible endpoint again, now with voice comments. You can carry your local work into Pinar Cloud, pick where captures land from one menu, and see why a sign-in code did not arrive.

What changed
  • Local AI and BYOK with voice comments

Settings → AI in Pinar Local connects a local server or your own OpenAI-compatible provider, with the key kept in the system vault. With a transcription model, the extension records voice comments in local mode and the local server transcribes them, optionally turning the transcript into a comment and acceptance criteria. No Pinar credits are used.

  • Move local work to Pinar Cloud

Settings → Data exports projects, collections, batches, sessions, and screenshots from Pinar Local as one file. In Pinar Cloud, the same section imports it session by session, with progress and a Cancel button. Importing the same file again updates what was already imported instead of duplicating it.

  • Pick the capture destination in one menu

The app and the extension options choose where new captures land with a single cascading menu: project first, then collection, with search, icons, and the selected path shown in the field. The choice stays in sync between the extension and the server.

  • Clear sign-in errors when a code cannot be sent

When the sign-in email cannot be delivered, Pinar now says so in your language instead of showing that a code was sent. The answer is the same whether or not the address has an account.

  • Steadier Pinar on Windows

The Windows app starts the local server from the tray, honors start with Windows, installs the agent session hooks, and no longer flashes a PowerShell window when it reads the AI key.
